Meet Wendy Sue: A Voice for Progressive Change
I'm excited to be running for the 68th Assembly District and have the opportunity to give a strong independent voice to the people of Western Wisconsin. I have lived in the Chippewa Valley area my entire life and have dedicated my professional career to serving the people of my community. As a high school social studies teacher, I taught students the importance of informed civic engagement and encouraged them to reach their full potential, one classroom at a time. As a family law attorney, I represent parents and children during the most stressful events in their lives, one case at a time. Now I’m ready to have an even greater impact on my community by advocating for us in Madison.
My roots run deep here. I served six and a half years on the Eau Claire Area School Board, was a social studies teacher at E.C. Academy and Altoona High School, coached Dance Team at Eau Claire North, owned the small business Danz Kraze, and now co-own my own law firm Klemish & Johnson LLC.
As a parent, former teacher and school board member I know we need to do more to ensure every student receives a quality education and is safe at school. I will prioritize affordable healthcare and work to pass nonpartisan redistricting reform so that fair maps ensure voters are choosing their representative instead of representatives choosing their voters.
I look forward to traveling throughout the district in the coming months knocking on doors, talking to voters, and hearing their thoughts and concerns. I'm ready to bring my fighting spirit to this campaign, and to the State Capitol.
